Description
I am available to audition.
This is a ridiculously tall order, but I'm not busy right now and a little coffeed up:
Me:
-I'm good but have not consistently played with anyone in a while
-New to the region, although originally from SE MI
-Rock, Americana, 'alt'-country-ish, blues-oriented, singer/songwriter, punk-ish or power pop. Folk-ish if it has the right edge
-Can do some backup vocals once my parts are down
-Mid-50s, much history with performing, recording, some touring, have played in bands for over 40 years, all rooms tiny and grand
-Four-piece Gretsch Catalina drums or vintage Premiers, Zildjian Ks (I have both)
-Know and am friendly with some local, longtime players, who record and play all the usual places in the Detroit area club circuit
-Strong rehearsal and organizational ethic
-Friendly, fun, on time, consistent
-Making money is an incidental thing, and while nice and all, is not necessary
-Highly flexible availability
-Would do a cover or tribute band if it's stuff I like
You
-Are a three or four-piece band (Bonus: there is an upright bassist and/or keys)
-Have a consistent, organized, secure rehearsal space w/ at least a basic PA setup
-Are about my age (40s, 50s - or 30s if you're okay with an older dude in the band).
-Have at least some background of recording, performing
-Are at least somewhat connected locally to do a proper gig
-Love rehearsing and can make it a consistent priority
-Live within 20 miles of Ann Arbor/Ypsi
-Are not politically or socially conservative
More details upon initial contact.
If I don't get back, it just wasn't my thing.
Thanks!
