Camp Bow Wow Pittsburgh South, in Castle Shannon, is looking for a few hard working dog lovers to join our crew. Full and Part Time positions are available. Camp Bow Wow is Pittsburgh's premiere dog daycare and boarding facility. We provide a fun, safe, enriching and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention. Our ideal candidate's are self-starters, motivated, mature, responsible and reliable people who want to work with dogs. We pride ourselves on providing excellent personal care for all of our clients and their dogs. We carefully screen all potential employees to ensure the continuation of our excellent service while still providing a safe and fun environment. Please carefully read below to get a realistic view of what's involved when working in a dog daycare facility such as ours. Qualifications Must Love Dogs! - It will become evident quickly if you do not truly love dogs. Genuine love and compassion is a must. You are responsible for taking care of clients furry "children" and family members. Must be 18 or older. Must be punctual and dependable. - Dependability is essential. If an employee does not show up, there will not be enough staff to provide a safe environment to properly care for the dogs. Must have reliable transportation. Flexibility is required- we are extremely flexible with our schedules and work around our employees wants and needs. We do ask for the same in return, when possible. We are open 365 days per year including holidays so please keep that in mind. We do ask that you are available for some holidays and weekend hours. (Holiday hours are only 4 hours shifts so you still have time to celebrate with your loved ones) Ability to remain mentally and physically alert and be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day. - While monitoring the Play Yard you will be required to learn and remember all of the dogs' names and personalities. You must have the ability to stay alert and actively monitor dog behavior at all times to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Job Duties Monitor and Manage up to 25 dogs in your play yard on any given day Clean up dog "messes" regularly throughout the day Clean dog cabins Set up for dog feeding Administer dog medications Bathe dogs Wash dishes; Do laundry Please visit and fill out the application on our website.
