Description

Join us for an end-of-the-year celebration that includes two learning opportunities, art therapy, networking, raffle baskets and fun!First learning opportunity:Hannah Bishop, MS, LPC, NCC, CCTS-I, has made it her mission to advocate for those living with an eating disorder and to educate others about eating disorders. In this presentation, she will share her personal and professional experience. This training will focus on lived experience and the importance of trauma informed care in the treatment of eating disorders. Hannah has worked in several group homes with the juvenile justice population, the day treatment setting and most recently as an eating disorder therapist for PHP, IOP and outpatient services. Hannah believes she has a unique niche; she understands eating disorders from a personal and professional view. After completing multiple inpatient and residential treatment stays, Hannah made it her mission to advocate and educate others about eating disorders. Hannah utilizes trauma informed care, EMDR and brainspotting as additional modalities to her practice. Hannah has been interviewed on the Recovery Bites podcast and through multiple news organizations sharing her story. Second learning opportunity:Ginger Livingston, MS, LPC, ATR-BC, has reflected on her own relationship with creativity and how it manifests in different ways throughout her life. In her master’s thesis, she utilized art making to inform a deeper understanding of herself in relationship to clients. Ginger will offer an interactive, creative process to check in and reflect on our own (personal and professional) engagement with practices and values that support well-being. We ask our clients to be open and curious, are we able to do the same thing with ourselves? This immersive learning experience will utilize creative expression to enhance awareness and open an inner dialogue with oneself to affirm what is working or recognize what might be needed to be our most authentic self. Ginger is a Therapist at the Rogers Behavioral Health Adolescent Eating Disorder Recovery Center. Ginger has experience with adolescent and adult eating disorder treatment at the inpatient, residential, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) at Rogers. She is also trained as a Behavioral Specialist and implemented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Response Prevention as the dual Therapist/Behavior Specialist in the ED IOP and OCD/Anxiety IOP programs. Ginger completed her graduate degree at Mount Mary University and has been with Rogers Behavioral Health for 7 years.
