Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
People across the country, especially youth, are ingesting this drug-many without knowing it - and dying at alarming rates. According to the National Vital Statistics System, more than 150 people die every day from overdoses related to illegally made opioids like fentanyl.
To educate and empower or community, Puyallup Police Department is partnering with public health officials to present, “Fighting Fentanyl-An Evening of Education and Prevention”. We invite you to join us on Tuesday, November 15th at 6:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Park Pavilion, located at 330 S. Meridian, Puyallup, WA.
