Alright, this might be a stretch…but here’s my situation! I am a 24 year old guitarist in the vein of John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Essentially, I base my sound, technique and rig on him. I’m moving back to Buffalo soon and I’m looking for a drummer, bassist and vocalist who have extensive knowledge and passion for the RHCP catalogue. Initially, it would be nice to jam their songs with other musicians. However, I’m not looking to be in a RHCP cover band. My goal is to eventually mix those tracks in to a diverse setlist for live performance. A pop band for bar gigs, really. As for my other influences, I’m extremely fond of 1960’s garage rock and pop. I’m also interested in performing renditions of any pop song that would get a bar crowd moving. A lot of my playing is based on 60s and 70s funk as well.
