In our First Thursdays training series, the New Orleans Medical Reserve Corps has partnered with Tulane University, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Louisiana Department of Health, and New Orleans Mosquito, Termite, and Rodent Control Board to host a training and discussion on One Health interventions and why implementation of One Health initiatives are effective tools in addressing emerging infectious disease outbreaks.
*Participants do not need to be current volunteers with the New Orleans Medical Reserve Corps to attend this training.

The New Orleans Medical Reserve Corps (NOMRC) is the volunteer arm of the New Orleans Health Department's Public Health Emergencies and Environmental Health Unit. The mission of the NOMRC is to be a diverse group of committed volunteers with skills and expertise to supplement public health emergency preparedness and response efforts in New Orleans.
