Looking to hire a part-time support person to assist an elderly gentleman who lives independently in a nice apartment complex in Taunton, but who needs help with planning his weekly grocery shopping and bringing him to the local store to shop. The support worker will also be asked to accompany this gentleman to occasional doctor’s appointments and be liaison between doctors, his family and overseeing agency. The ideal candidate will be a patient, responsible and dependable adult, with some time flexibility to accommodate occasional appointments and willing to use his/her car to fulfil the responsibilities. Criminal Record and fingerprinting check must be completed and approved to get hired. Bi-weekly pay, $19-24/hour, mileage reimbursement at $0.58/mile, routinely 4-5 hours/week (additional 2-3 hours/week available to accompany to doctor’s appointment). This position is available as soon as possible.
