Description

This class will include indications and contra-indications for licensed massage therapists to safely and effectively promote drainage to the lymphatic system. The students will learn proper pressure, rhythm and rate of manual therapy to enhance lymphatic function. Students will learn how to assess and interview clients, gain informed consent for treatment, and learn when it is safest to refer the client to a Certified Lymphedema Therapist or refer to a medical practitioner. Dress comfortably. Bring: 1 set of sheets, face cradle cover, and blanket. Massage tables and water provided. (16 CE hours for Massage Therapists.
