Join us in a lighthearted adventure on Saturday, November 12. This wacky Sierra Commons fundraiser promises to be full of laughs and bargains. Participants will fill their bags with unique holiday gifts and upcycle their wardrobes with funky fresh fashion. The event kicks off at Sierra Commons. Our outlandish MC Coryon Redd will pump everybody up and lay down ground rules between bites of donuts and coffee. Small teams will then set off to explore local thrift stores and yard sales. Did you find the ugliest artwork? You get 10 points. How about 5 points for the most froo froo teacup? Perhaps you’re looking for a convection oven. Share your want list with the entire posse, and they’ll get points for finding you the appliance of your dreams. After a day of thrifting, we know you’ll need some entertainment. Don’t worry, we got you covered. At 3 PM, we’ll gather at Gold Vibe Kombuchary to show off our haul during the awards ceremony. Special prizes will be given to the teams who get the loudest applause for categories such as the most outrageous hat, best free item, and zaniest holiday sweater. The event not only supports the good work of Sierra Commons, it also supports the charitable causes of our local thrift stores. Purchase a team ticket and gather three others for your team*, or buy a solo ticket and Coryon will form additional pods in the morning. One car per team. May the best team win. *youth under 14 are allowed to join teams of 4 at no additional charge
