Description
Whether it was a joke disguised as a craigslist post, or somehow legit, I just want to thank the Long Island venues for partnering with my band and all the other bands on Long Island.
99% of the local venues are fair and work with bands, and in turn the better bands work with the venues. Is it perfect all the time? No - but mostly a win-win.
Yea, the other 1% of the venues are difficult, or unfair, but ultimately bands learn to stay away and those 1 percent venues are left to deal with lousy bands - when they can get bands at all.
And if the new venue that posted this week demands bands buy and sell tickets and drinks is for real (like the one that did this a few years ago for real), than you will be out of the live music business very shortly.
If it was a joke, do you really need to waste people's time like the Triangle guy just looking?
