The opportunity to visit Alabama A&M University is ONLY open to ANY 11th or 12th grade students attending high school at Andalusia, Florala, Opp, Pleasant Home, Red Level and Straughn. Students in the 12th grade will be given priority should we reach our maximum capacity for the trip. Parents of attending students will be welcome to attend as long as we have space after giving priority to 11th and 12th graders. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $30.00 fee to attend this event. All permission slips and funds will be due on or before Friday, October 28, 2022. Funds are to be paid on this site and permission slips turned into your respective Guidance Counselor Office. The bus will leave the main parking lot of Andalusia High School at 3:00 AM, Saturday, November 5th and return to the parking lot Saturday night. There will be Onsite Acceptance occurring at this visit so students will need to bring with them a copy of their transcript and ACT/SAT scores. Auditions for band and choir will also be taking place so students will need to bring their instruments if they are interested in auditioning for the band. Attendance information should be completed by October 21, 2022, by providing your name to your Guidance Office. Funds and registration information should be completed at this site on or before October 28, 2022, in order for Ms. Robertson to complete the group registration. Although Alabama A&M University is a Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU) people of all races, national origins and sexual orientation are welcome to apply and attend the university. Alabama A&M is an university that wants to provide an affordable education to all that desire to further their education. Interested students will need to obtain permission slips for the trip from their high school counselor and return the permission slip to a box/basket in the guidance counselors office.
