Deraspe Design (www.deraspedesign.com) is looking to fill two (2) positions immediately. We are a true design/build firm working in Portland metro region. Little about us: We’ve been operating in the Portland metro since 2016. I lived in Kauai, Hawaii before that working as a contractor. I also completed my Master of Architecture down in Eugene so when I say we design/build I mean it. I’m the architect on most if not all of our projects. Please take a look at our website to see some of most recent work, but it covers a broad spectrum of residential construction and landscape. We really do it all, from excavation and concrete work, framing, doors & windows and trim, decks and patios, etc. The benefit is we get to wear a bunch of different hats throughout a project meaning it never gets repetitive or boring and the projects are generally small to medium in scale but interesting. I’m trying to expand and grow my company to take on multiple projects and looking for experienced, hard-working individuals to come on board! Little of what we’re looking for: 1) You need to have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation (a truck would be a plus), 2) Experience - it would be great if you’ve done a bit of construction in the past, but I truly enjoy teaching so pay will probably be based on what you’re coming to the table with in terms of experience, 3) Tools? I own just about everything you need, and have two of most things, but if you’ve got your own tools that’s great, but not necessary, 4) When? I’ve projects ready to go for the next year so I can guarantee full-time hours and more if you’re so inclined, but we’re flexible in terms of setting your own schedule if need be, 5) A healthy attitude about hard work, reliable in terms of showing up, good communication a must…
