Need brakes bled on Toyota and VW

I can't seem to get a pedal on my 01 Toyota Corolla or my 03 Volkswagen Passat I changed the portion valve on the Toyota two times can you tell me what I'm doing wrong and I'm needing someone that has a yard and they can show and sell my RV SUV VW Bug S10 pickup 97 Dodge Dakota pickup that needs transmission I'm a pretty good mechanic and can trade labor but these two brake problems have me baffled I'm 69 years old and a little slow getting around I can probably help you with your mechanic problem if you can help me or I can pay cash if it's not too much
