Description

Loki | All black Male, lighter on underside | medium hair | Approx 4mo old Reason for rehoming: Loki came to us very shy and timid! We have given him time to warm up to the children and while he’s very affectionate to them, he would likely do best in an older child/no child home due to the fact that he has snipped at our youngest without being provoked or pulled on. He does not like all the yelling, running, jumping that comes with the toddler phase! With a new baby on the way, unfortunately our house will not be getting any less chaotic and he is not thriving here. He does not have any bad scratching or litter habits, he is fully litter box trained and uses a scratching post appropriately. He does well with other cats, we have not trialed dogs. Lucy | Black and white female | Medium haired | Approx 5 months old Reason for rehoming: Lucy has very poor behavior when it comes to food and she needs more time devoted to these habits than we can offer. She eats off the floor, jumps on the counter, stove, etc. and will eat off pans if unsupervised. Our biggest problem is that she will eat directly off of the children’s plates while they are still eating at the table. Having children in the home, we unfortunately also get a lot of floor crumbs and occasional late food cleanups and she is eating more table food than I would imagine is appropriate- even when cat bowls are left out 24 hours a day. Outside of that, she is a purr machine and loves to be loved! We have done some harness trialing and leash walking, which she’s doing very well with! She is very gentle with the kids and does appreciate their snuggles! She does well with other cats, has not been introduced to dogs. She would likely do best in a home with another young kitty (she was very lonely and not playful when we brought her home, hence the reason we got Loki). Lucy is litter box trained and has no bad litter or scratching habits. Vetting: Loki’s previous owner stated he was UTD on shots and dewormed. Lucy has had no shots yet but received one round of deworming. Neither are fixed, but this will need to be done around 6 months of age, especially if rehomed together! We had this scheduled before deciding to rehome, so I can help arrange a reschedule if needed! We would love to see them find a home with each other, as they are quite bonded. However- as long as they are getting adequate care and attention, we are open to rehoming separately! One of the kittens did unfortunately come with fleas, so both have been treated with a high quality flea bath, topical advecta (which is good for one month) and Cap-star which kills live fleas on spot. This preventative will need to be kept up, though they have been combed daily with no flea or eggs present any longer; to our knowledge. There is no rehoming fee, because of the care and work that they need. If rehomed together, we can discuss sending some of their supplies at no additional cost. Please email if interested- I am not comfortable sharing my number on a public forum!
