Anderson Landscape & Maintenance is looking for a full time assistant mechanic. The individual needs to be able to follow directions and understand technical documentation. You will be assisting the head mechanic with repairs and completing assigned tasks. Candidates will preferably have experience with basic maintenance of light duty trucks, small engines and power equipment. However we are willing to train the right person who is looking to learn and gain hands-on experience in mechanics.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Keeps shop clean and organized
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Helps head mechanic perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil changes, checks tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs and engages in other similar tasks
- Assists head mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights
- Perform standard component inspections and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Replaces defective components as needed
- Assist with parts inventory
