Part-time Horse groom /Veterinary Assistant for small private horse farm. Job is Tues, Wed, Thurs 11am- 4 or 5 pm. Work closely with veterinarian/owner to groom, lead horses for breeding and training, clean paddocks and occasionally stalls. Help with any veterinary and farrier care. Owner does all farrier work and your job would include holding up feet when needed, cleaning and treating feet for thrush etc. These are young horses and broodmares so they are often not cooperative and you must not be afraid. You will NOT be training (except ground manners) and you will NOT be riding horses. Must have experience handling spirited and untrained horses. These are warmblood and thoroughbred cross horses so they are very large and spirited. Must be able to follow trainers instructions on handling horses. This is an English Barn and we train Dressage and Hunter/Jumper. Part time-11am- 4 or 5 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs You must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be on your feet hours with extensive walking Job Type: Part-time Salary: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Part time-11am- 4 or 5 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thurs Day shift No weekends
