The SoWA Winter Market is a high-end event for local makers and artisans. Our company will have a booth there, and we are recruiting for two types of people: (1) Booth Manager - This person would oversee the booth in partnership with our full-time company staff. They would periodically oversee the booth on their own for a few hours where necessary (not during busy times). We would provide the Booth Manager with a half-day of training in November either at our office in New Hampshire or somewhere near you (e.g., at a coffeeshop). Payment would be provided for the training as well as for the hours worked. We're looking for someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and who ideally has retail management experience. Compensation will be discussed with this person. (2) Booth Workers - Here we would need 2-3 people who could work all or parts of the Market. They will be selling our gourmet food products alongside the Booth Manager and our company's full-time staff. You could set your own hours in advance of the event (e.g., weekends only or evenings only) and would not necessarily be expected to work every day. That said, we will definitely favor applicants who can work as many hours as possible to avoid excessive staff turnover. The pay for these people is $20/hour. You would be responsible for transportation and parking if you choose to drive. There is no parking for vendors, so you would need to find street parking nearby. The dress is "casual but classy" (e.g., jeans and sweaters, jeans and collared shirts, dresses/skirts, etc.). You'd be on your feel almost the whole time when working, though we will have chairs if you need a break during slower times. Our company primarily makes and sells cocktail/mocktail mixers as well as a few other gourmet food products like spices/salts/cranberry sauce. We are fun and casual. Take breaks whenever you need. The important thing is that, when you are at the booth, you're ready to be a bit energetic and outgoing. If you excel in bringing in customers, we are happy to offer performance-based bonuses or even commissions.
