The All-Star Comedy Show at Franchesco's is Back! Bringing you the comedy Heavy Hitters! Opener: Patti Vasquez Funny happens. And it always happens when comedian Patti Vasquez is around. You don’t have to take our word for it either. Lewis Black says, “Patti is simply marvelous.” Bill Maher called her, “The funniest woman in comedy since Carol Burnett.” Comedian Patti Vasquez shares the story of her journey with humor and heart. As an internationally touring comedian, she strives to entertain audiences while shining a light on the experience of raising a child with special needs. Patti has found that the best way for her and her family to cope with obstacles is to find joy in the unexpected. She reflects on the frustration of dealing with nosy strangers, insurance companies and financial struggles without letting any of it deter her from her most important goal: caring for her two little boys. In addition to corporate and concert appearances, Patti’s been seen on The Very Funny Show on TBS and most recently as one of the stars of My Life is a Joke on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Patti’s also a regular guest on the wildly popular Bob & Tom radio show, which can be heard in 139 cities from coast to coast. I get highly agitated with people who get mad when I don't 'come through for them' even though I have consistently not come through for them in the past.” It was 1999, six years after finishing his collegiate basketball career at Division III Whitewater College, and bouncing around jobs that Kevin found himself in the real world with no real job skills and a strong desire to work an hour a day. What to do? Inspired by nights on the couch watching Def Comedy Jam and challenged by his roommate, Kevin decided to head over to nearby Madison, WI and try the “Open-Mic Night”. “I always was the guy who could make people laugh, and lets be honest I had nothing better going on”. Thirteen years later Kevin is still going on-stage, and he has found the job that fithis requirements. “For an hour a night I’m wildly successful”. With a smooth and clever style, a great smile and a contagious laugh Kevin has been entertaining in clubs and colleges across the country. In 2000 he was the winner of the Midwest region of the HBO “Comedy Competition” and flew to Los Angeles to compete as a finalist. He performed on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” in 2003, and finished 2nd in the Boston Comedy Competition in 2005. He was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2010. This past summer he co-starred in the Indie film “Flat Chested” starring Alicia Witt and Luke Perry. Kevin also co-starred in the 2003 Independent Film “Making Revolution”.
