Lulrick Balzora, Ph.D. has been an author, military chaplain, Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, teacher, academic dean, and minister. He retired as a decorated member of the U.S. Navy, having served 25 years of active and reserve service. His interests cover theories from the social and behavioral sciences as they relate to social suffering.
Lulrick is the recipient of several awards, including Legacy Magazine’s Top Black Educators Awards (twice), the Endowed Teaching Chair Second Generation Leaders Award, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Developmental Excellence Award, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal with Marine Corps Insignia.
