Joy & merriment will fill downtown Portland, ME at the Monument Square Tree Lighting Presented by Hood Eggnog. This spectacular, wintertime celebration will stuff Monument Square with family-friendly fun, including FREE eggnog samples from Hood Eggnog, a Holiday Spectacular show by Mad Science of Maine, live ice carving demonstrations by SubZero Ice Carvings, face painting, live music, & SO MUCH MORE — all in full view of Portland Downtown's Monument Square Tree Cam, a snow-globe-type view of the square streamed to YouTube from this day through early January. All of the festivities lead up to the magical moment when a stately 50-foot tree is illuminated by thousands of LED lights & the iconic Pandora's Winter Lights sponsored by Portland Downtown are turned on city wide — wowing the evening's monumental crowd & truly ushering in the winter season here in Portland, ME. NOTE: This event will follow an official 2022 U.S. Soccer World Cup Watch Party supported in part by Portland Downtown, ASL to Portland, For Soccer Ventures, Maine Mariners, & Redfern Properties. Arrive to Monument Square at 2 p.m. for kickoff — & dress warm! This is an outdoor viewing party right in Monument Square.
