By completing your race registration you agree to the following terms and conditions: I understand that risks are inherent in participation of an event of this type and agree to assume all the risks associated with such voluntary participation. I agree that it is my sole responsibility to be familiar with any physical and/or mental demands associated with the above-referenced event or activity. To the best of my knowledge, I have no physical or mental condition that would endanger myself or others or would interfere with my ability to participate in this event or activity. In the event of a medical emergency, I hereby give my consent to emergency transportation and medical treatment arising out of or related to participation in the event or activity. I understand that there are rules and regulations in place and for my safety and protection agree to abide by any such established rules or regulations while engaged in the above-referenced event. I hereby release and forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Towson University, the University System of Maryland, and the State of Maryland, and their departments, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers (Released Parties) from and against any and all liabilities, claims, demands, causes of action, costs and expenses, (including attorneys’ fees and related litigation costs) incurred by any of the Released Parties arising out of or relating to my participation in or involvement with the above-referenced event or activity, whether due to the negligence, default or other action or inaction of any person or entity, including the Released Parties. I also hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the Released Parties from any claims due to any first aid, treatment, or service rendered to me during my participation in the above-referenced event or activity.
