Description
We scheduled an audition on Weds., Nov. 2, looking to put together an improv heavy band project. This music is different from the traditional jam band sound (Grateful Dead, Phish etc...). Influences are eclectic - rock, blues, jazz, ambient electronica, acoustic, and more. We're seeking imaginative musicians who can hold down a groove and improvise freely.
Recording of some sort is definitely a part of this, both for our own reference and eventually to have something to put out into the world. Once we have a set's worth of material, we can move into playing out and see where we can take it. We do want this to be more than just a weekly jam.
Other than musical qualifications, you should be easy going, flexible and kind.
