Description
Christmas Eve ServicesCrowded malls? Challenging relatives? Too many gifts and not enough money? Christmas is often one of the least peaceful times of the year. The holidays can feel chaotic. That is why Kaw Prairie Community Church is inviting the community to get away from the hustle and join us for a peace-filled Christmas Eve service. On December 24 — at 10am, 3, 5, and 7pm — Kaw Prairie will gather at The Barn at Kill Creek Farm in De Soto, Kansas for a family-friendly, down-to-earth worship service, including refreshments, Christmas music, and a message of hope. The holidays, especially in a place like Johnson County, can be crazy, busy, and overwhelming. We believe it is important to step back, slow down, and reflect on what is important. And we believe these Christmas Eve services will be the perfect place to find a little peace on earth, a little goodwill towards… well, you and your family. The Barn at Kill Creek FarmThe Barn at Kill Creek Farm is a truly unique venue. It sits on three acres surrounded by a historic 30-acre farmstead in De Soto, Kansas. It features a large rustic outdoor setting with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities and offers plenty of parking for guests. Learn more at thebarnatkillcreekfarm.org. Kaw Prairie Community ChurchAt Kaw Prairie, there's a seat for you. Always. No matter who you are, where you've been, or what's going on in your life, there's room for you at the table. Following Jesus' example, we welcome people of every race, ethnicity, economic class, marital status, sexual orientation, and faith background (or lack of). We know many of you have had bad experiences with the church in the past. Christianity hasn't always lived up to its calling to share the Good News. We know the church has left some of you feeling hurt or rejected. We understand. And we will be the first to admit, we aren't perfect either. But we will do our best to be open, honest, and welcoming as we share God’s love. You belong at Kaw Prairie.
