Gregoire (D-Marlborough) is pleased to share the results from Tuesday, November 3rd's general election. Tuesday's election had an incredibly high turnout across the country, state, and the communities of Marlborough, Northborough, and Westborough. With 2.3 million votes cast early right here in Massachusetts, the Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin predicts a record-breaking number of votes cast once tabulating is finalized. Specifically, 24,435 residents in Marlborough, 11,839 residents in Northborough, and 13,234 residents in Westborough voted early. Despite the unusual circumstances of COVID-19, the Commonwealth held a safe and successful Election Day. Please find below the results for the contested races from the 4th Middlesex district. President and Vice-President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Democratic- 26,095 votes Howie Hawkins and Angela Walker, Green-Rainbow- 191 votes Jo Jorgensen and Jeremy "Spike" Cohen, Libertarian- 569 votes President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence, Republican- 11,418 votes Massachusetts U.S. Senate Senator Edward Markey, Democratic- 25,628 votes Kevin O'Conner, Republican- 12,601 votes Massachusetts State House 4th Middlesex Representative Danielle W. Gregoire, Democratic- 13,873 votes Syed H. Hashmi, Independent- 5,644 votes Question 1: "Right to Repair" Vehicle Access Requirement Initiative Yes- 28,576 votes No- 9,250 votes Question 2: Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative Yes- 17,058 votes No- 20,451 votes "It was wonderful to see so many of our residents participate in such a critically important election," said Representative Danielle W.
