Description
Hi! We are a sanctuary in a neighboring state where wolfdogs are not allowed. Rohi showed up a few months ago and we weren’t sure and thought he was a white Alaskan husky. When we realized he isn’t and everyone he meets agrees, we are forced to rehome him where he will not be in danger of being put down. We believe he is 4 or 5 years old. He listens pretty well, is a bit obsessive, is great with kids and other dogs, loves to go for rides, knows basic commands and how to shake, and sticks by my side on our property. He does well with cats that don’t run, but other animals like our chicken and our pigs- he wants to eat them. He leaves alone our old house pig because I told him to. He also is friendly with people- which I guess is weird for a wolfdog?
He needs someone who knows how to care for a dog with a coat like his, and how to work with and train a dog of his breed. Rohi is not going to kiss everyone who comes to the house, but he’s also not a guard dog.
You are responsible to get Rohi neutered and sign a fitting adoption contract. We must have the name and number for a reference from your vet, we need permission from your landlord to have him, and he can be an outdoor dog but is 100% housebroken. He must have a big yard and no chains, and a proper setup if he is to be outside, or just while you are gone. He lives inside with us and refuses to be on the furniture -strange dog.
Adoption fee is $600.
We will do a home check before or when we bring him to you. Drop off w/in 200miles is included, after that you are responsible for actual gas. We don’t care about wear and tear for the right home.
Please reach out to us via email or call Steph at 805 four four eight 5600. We are in south-central Michigan.
