See more specific details to this specific workshop below. Each workshop begins with a mindfulness meditation, navigating the mind through stillness, allowing you to connect with your inner emotions. This allows you to be grounded and centered as you’re then guided through a process to release and express those emotions in creative ways. Through this process, you’ll learn how to be kind and gentle with your thoughts, feelings, and even yourself. Letting go of fears of judgement from others and of yourself. Always coming back to self-love and self-compassion. There are no imperfections. In you. Or in your art. If you're seeking mindfulness art activities and don't have the tools, space, support, guidance or knowledge then these workshops are for you. DETAILS ON THIS WORKSHOP…… PAINTED MANDALA MEDITATION TABLE* In this up-cycling workshop from Alley House, you’ll be creating a dot mandala painting on the surface of an old bourbon barrel lid. The lid came straight from Bardstown, KY, bourbon capital of the world. It’s about 21” round and still has the smell and essence of Old Bardstown Bourbon. Details: 1) Intermediate workshop requiring a lot of attention and patience. If you have neither, or are low on one or the other, we're here to support and guide you. 2) The surface for this Mandala is fairly large (for first timers) at 21” but certainly can be done. The pictures in this event post are from another workshop where the ladies were first time Dot Mandala painters. 3) We will be taking about a 30min lunch break around 12pm to clear the mind, have some fun and get refocused. 4) You will have the choice of having Mini hairpin legs, lazy Susan turntable hardware or picture hanging hardware attached. 5) You will also have the choice of having an shiny epoxy or satin polyethylene coating.
