Join Conductor for our Startup Story with North Two Five! Mike entered the tech industry in 1999 as a technical purchasing agent for Arkansas Blue Cross, Blue Shield. He then transferred to a department that had a development team where he started his journey as a developer. Over the years, he's supported network infrastructure, servers, desktops, and anything “computery”, but his passion was always developing products. He’s worked at several large and small companies including IBM and CoreLogic. In 2010, he started Ortner Enterprises, later to become North Two Five. In 2018, he transformed his single employee company to a full blown software development agency with up to 15 developers, two project managers, some designers, and a few QA engineers. In 2020, he was part of the 10X Cohort #5. With what he learned from the advice of his 10x advisors, he decided to make a change in his business model. Knowing there was a mass shortage of developers across all industries, which was causing a lot of companies to struggle to find quality developers, he pivoted from developing software products for clients to helping to staff companies in need of software developers. North Two Five is now almost exclusively a company that fills open positions on development teams with world-class, enterprise level developers, typically done in under 72 hours. Lunch will be provided for attendees.
