All PROCEEDS raised for this event will go to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. There will be a MARKET & FOOD VENDORS right after Yoga event, come prepared to shop and eat. Closes at 1:00 PM Carmen is asking for support to help raise money in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Her grandfather Manuel Ruiz died from Leukemia at the young age of 60. He was given the opportunity to be part of experimental drugs in search of finding the cure for his illness. Although the outcome was not what was anticipated, his willingness in participating in these studies will save someone's life in the future. Therefor, this mission to find a cure is very personal to her heart. By creating this Yoga event, she hopes to support healthy minds and bodies for the entire RGV. She has partnered with the amazing Christina Martinez with CASA OM YOGA, who is the trendsetter in the RGV for wellness in body and mind. Christina is donating her services and her time, to support this amazing cause. By raising awareness , Carmen is also seeking to be a Student of the Year Champion. The goal is to raise the most funds not only in the Rio Grande Valley, but also Statewide, with a chance at a National recognition. This will assist in her possibly winning a scholarship fund to a college of her choice.
