Rehoming 2yr 8mo Female Lab Mix

Description
Hi. We have a 2 year, 8 month old female Labrador mix named Hunny. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old. She is spayed, heart worm negative, up to date on her shots, micro chipped, crate trained, house broken, Puppy Good Citizen trained and leash trained. She could do really well with scent work or agility training. She has great potential. The trainer we worked with told us she would be a good therapy dog. She is very smart and biddable. She's affectionate and precious. We love her so much! Unfortunately, she plays too roughly with our two small dogs, and she continues to pester our cat. The animal personalities in our home have not melded and mellowed with time like they should have by now. She needs to be in a home where she is the only pet. There should be no other small animals of any type in your home. As far as her interactions with her human family go, she is sensitive, companionable and attentive. As an only pet, she would be a joy to live with. It is a hard decision for us, but it is the right decision. She needs more one on one attention. Although she hasn't been around any same-sized dogs to show her how to play properly and to take social cues from, I feel that with the proper training from someone who works with lab-mix breeds, she could probably be a good companion and playmate for a same-sized dog--but only with professional guidance first and foremost. Hunny was quite anxious as a puppy and outgrew a lot of her fears, however she needs a calm, simple home life. She hasn't been around many people. In general, she likes females. In general, males frighten her. I am invested in finding Hunny the best new family. Please provide veterinarian references. I want anyone who is interested in adopting Hunny to have 3 visits in different settings before we make any decisions. The rehoming fee is $125.00. You will be given her crate, martingale collar, prong collar, harness, martingale leash, muzzle, sweater and a few of her favorite toys. It won't take long for you to see her wonderful qualities when you meet her. You will be well apprised of her personality characteristics and behavior traits before having to make any permanent arrangements. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I will remove this when Hunny has her new family.
