Description

We are looking to rehome the sweetest German Shepard/Golden Retriever boy named Maze. We’ve had him since 8 weeks old and he is so kind, he loves people in general, is loyal to those in his home (never leaves your side), energetic, and very excitable. Also kennel trained and great with it. We love him so much however, we don’t feel we are a good match for him or giving him the best quality of life. He’s almost 70 lbs so he’s a very big dog who has a lot of energy, and my boyfriend and I work long days, struggle with our energy levels, and our mental health. He is kenneled more than we’d like and only gets walked around 3 times a week these days but he should be getting SO much more exercise than that (physically and mentally). He’s great on walks, just pulls because he gets excited (we are working on it and he’s been improving). He is part German Shepard so he does bark at other people/dogs that walk by when at home because that’s what he’s bred to do. I’m sure with the right professional training that could be helped. But he rarely barks on walks. I think he’d be best in a home as an only pet because the other reason we are rehoming is he continues to chase and play with my cat today and they just do not get along at all. He’s been sweet to some dogs on walks but his excitement annoys a lot of calmer dogs so I don’t think a home with another dog is a good idea either. Please text or email me with any questions you might have. We love him dearly and just want him to go to a family that will love a high energy dog and that has the means to work on improving his training. We are asking a small rehoming fee for his safety but we also ask that whoever is seriously interested first come meet him and interview with us. That last thing we would want is for him to get rehomed again
