I am a more or less traditional Chicago style blues guitarist and I write original blues and blues/rock. I have experience with successful regional and some national bands, but I have not done the band thing in a decade. There are two things I'm interested in: A formed band with a good singer in need of a guitarist,which is interested in gigging locally to start (the actual money made is not important - but I don't want to do endless rehearsals that are not leading anywhere). I can supply a drummer and/or a bass player if there is a good singer whose willing to get gigs. OR A soulful female singer with gospel roots. I can work up an authentic blues project with the right singer, but it requires an authenticity and commitment - a band can elevate to festivals if the singer is committed to learning original material and not just doing covers and she has a bluesy delivery (think Koko Taylor, Big Mama Thornton, for example).
