Found calico cat who had been hit by a car on Knox ave near Paco park. Driver did not stop so two nursing students did and rushed her to the nearest animal hospital with an emergency department. She had no collar or microchip and was struggling to breath so the vet euthanized her to relieve her suffering. We talked to her the whole drive there and were as gentle and compassionate as possible. I felt it important to post as I would want to know if it were my pet.
