Job Overview A Outdoor Material Handler oversees storing, moving, and managing stone materials and stone related supplies. Main duties also include loading and unloading stone materials and stone related supplies safely, timely and accurately for Quality Marble and Granite customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities General Laborer/Material Handler - Outdoors · Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries and returns · Labeling every product and storing product accordingly · Identifying and locating the right products during the picking process · Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory through weekly cycle counts · Handling returns by completing documentation and other required communication · Keeping all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance and following pre-inspection procedures · Organize, monitor, and maintain the yard and warehouse for cleanliness and sales floor readiness · Documenting inventory discrepancies and quality concerns and reporting them immediately to the proper channels · Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock · Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect inventory transactions and replace damaged products · Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner · Ensure all quality inspections are carried out and documented per quality management process and systems. · Maintain a clean and organized yard and warehouse · Maintain tools, equipment, yard, and warehouse in organized and clean condition · Maintain sample areas to ensure samples are available for customers · Assist Sales force and logistics teams with showing material and taking pictures · Build crates and packaging stone for shipments · Able to work in outside facility during high heat and rain · Participate and follow Safe Slab Handling procedures · Participate and train on Safe Forklift operation procedures · Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. Driver · Drive to customer locations to deliver customer orders, completing manifest as needed · Complete deliveries in an efficient, timely manner · Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck · When not delivering product, serve as a material handler for the yard team · Arizona trips for QMG location in Arizona Qualifications · Clean driving record and valid CDL · Spanish/English bilingual skills required · Strong customer service skills · Sit-down forklift experience preferred, training and certification will be provided. · Minimum 2 year’s delivery driving experience · Must possess a positive and professional attitude and be a great team player · Available to work revolving 5/6 day weeks as needed · Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test · Ability to work in an outside environment (rain, heat, and cold) · Able to work safely, efficiently and accurately · Basic reading and writing skills to support daily functions · Able to lift 75 pounds · Granite and stone industry or construction knowledge experience a definite plus Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour.
