We are looking for a good, patient home for a playful and curious 4.5 month old chihuahua/corgi mix male puppy. We recently adopted him in hopes he would be a companion/playmate for our young dachshund, but our dog just has no interest in other dogs.
He is small/medium size, about 10-12 lbs, vaccinated (with records), not neutered.
From our understanding he comes from a farm-like setting background so he is a bit shy to new people and needs harness/leash training. He seems to be a bit unsocialized with humans, but is not aggressive. He just needs a patient person help him get used to being touched and handled.
He needs more freedom to run around than we can give him, whether that be a fenced yard or another farm like setting.
We were told he is good with and lived with children, but we have not seen it first hand.
He loves other dogs and is super playful, but can also just hang out with a chewy and relax.
He is good with cats and has shown no aggression or chasing with ours, both indoor and outdoor.
We’ve been putting him in a crate next to our bed and he sleeps the whole night.
Food motivated, so he has been easy to do trick training with, he is attentive and alert. He loves treats! Salami, cheese, dog treats you name it.
He comes with harness, leash and the food we were given from his previous owner.
He stands up on his back legs and has an adorable little underbite.
His name is Mickey, but he is young enough for it to be changed.
Again, he is very timid at first and needs patience and understanding. He has all the potential to be a great dog.
We paid $200, but could be flexible with the right person.
