At Valerie’s House, we repeatedly see the power of art in our children’s lives. Oftentimes, children do not have words to describe how they are feeling. However, when they are handed a paintbrush, paints, and an empty canvas, the feelings they are holding inside with their grief – sadness, anger, guilt, relief, joy-- become free through each brush stroke. Stop by, Friday, November 18 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. during Children’s Grief Awareness Month to experience Valerie’s House and see art come to life! Witness three featured local artists, Cory Patterson, Nick Rapp, and Matt “Mully” Mulhern create their unique pieces. View and take the opportunity to win, through a raffle, beautiful paintings by some of our Valerie’s House teens. Explore our extremely special warm, inviting rooms. Hear stories from our children, families, and volunteers of the hope, heartache, and joy experienced among our walls. Enjoy a smorgasbord of light bites and treats and a glass of wine or beer. We are delighted to have our Naples Community here at Valerie’s House for this special evening!
