Child development experts say that at five years old, children are able to do things like “match two socks together” and “keep a conversation going with more than three back-and-forth exchanges.” Thankfully, the same is true for nonprofits -- CYC is turning five years old in November and we are proud to say that we all wear matching socks now and can engage in pretty great dialogue, too. That’s why we’d love to invite you to our 5th birthday bash on November 5th, from 6-8pm at the Posner Center. Join us for food and drinks, games, and a short program celebrating all the growth we’ve experienced over the last half decade. It’ll be a family friendly event. It’s wild to think we used to be an all-volunteer organization working alongside a scrappy group of Denver HS youth eating nothing but Dominos (with max 1 topping… #BallingOnABudget) and now, five years later, we’re one of the top youth leadership organizations in the state with three full time staff serving more than 50 youth across 15 school districts. We couldn’t have done that without our beloved community of young people, partner organizations, funders, and supporters. Please allow us to celebrate with you for all that we’ve been able to accomplish together.
