EVENT DETAILS
We live in a world where individuals are challenged daily to address the devastation of worldwide disasters and our daunting responsibility to address them. Amid this chaos, you may find yourself asking:
“What is my responsibility in a world that’s falling apart?”
“How do I take care of others if I am struggling myself?
“Where do my talents and passions belong within my community?”
Beginning the weekend of November 4-5th, 2022, we will be partnering with Loma Linda’s School of Public Health and Crosswalk Redland’s FUTURE OF* program to feature service-learning opportunities and facilitate intentional spaces for honest discussions.
BUILDING BRIDGES
Our theme titled “Where Do We Belong?” echoes the emotional struggle one may encounter in the search for community and purpose alongside the very literal absence of belongingness felt by those who have been displaced. Join us as we share life-changing stories from vulnerable communities, both local and global, as a network of social change-makers. All are welcome!
ADRA’s COMMITMENT
As a humanitarian agency, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency’s (ADRA) traditional model of service is to develop the capacities of vulnerable communities, so that they will possess the necessary tools for sustainable growth. This model is not restricted to those in need of food, water, healthcare, education, and disaster relief. To achieve a truly holistic approach, ADRA’s Christ-centered mission must also consider those in need of purpose, meaning, and growth, regardless of where they live.
