Description
Dignity is a funny thing..Whenever we think of critical needs in our community - its easy to default to housing or food, and for good reason. However Flint, Jackson, and other water access crises occassionally bring our attention to a persistant access problem across all our communities. Water, Showers, and Hygiene (or WASH) services are a critically underserved component of our continuum of care. ARM's mobile shower program is one such way to address water access while restoring the rights and dignity of our guests. WASH is one way to address a deeper concern as we look to uplift our neighbors, by addressing their inherent dignity. Haircuts, Clothing, Case Management, and other innovative practices restore the dingity of clients and prepare ngo's and wraparound services to meet at the table in greater equality and readiness for self-sustainability. JOIN US! The Dignity Summit is a first of its kind conversation bringing funders, innovative programs, corporate programs, and more together to challenge our perception of how we can raise the bar on building programs that do more than just meet essential needs.
