Description

Radically Fit Oakland & Gemini Moon Botanicals presents Queer & Well: A QTBIPOC Wellness Fair. Queer & Well is an event that centers joy, creativity, healing, expression and community for queer and Trans, Black folks, Indigenous folks and people of color. We know the seasonal shift from summer to fall can be hard because of the time change, the sunlight hours lessening, and holidays. We’re hopeful this fair will be a bright light for folks to look forward to and enjoy as we head deeper into fall. We’re looking forward to sharing talents from our community far and wide! We aim to nurture community building, bonding & strengthening that can continue beyond our event. This is why we centered local BIPOC vendors & performers, so we may connect here, and continue care moving forward. As part of our commitment to our community, we continue to prioritize accessibility for all folks involved! Our event expands on many ways in which we can nurture our wellness every day, avoiding mainstream wellness culture's hyper fixation on weight loss, toxic diet culture, and white supremacist beauty standards. We know our wellness is not only determined by our physical health, but is deeply intertwined with our mental & emotional health as well as the community around us! We intentionally brought together a spectrum nourishing offerings, for the mind body and spirit! We have art, tarot, tattoos, botanicals, self care items, and so much more paired with workshops, delicious food & live music and we are ready to release, let go, and connect on the dance floor dance. Get ready to bring the energy up with our drag performers & Live DJ!
