This intermediate-level session is aimed at photographers with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras who want to get better at lighting indoors. While many photographers prefer the use of “natural light”, there are many creative advantages to using studio strobes. This 2.5-hour intermediate level session is aimed at photographers with DSLR/Mirrorless cameras who have a good understanding of exposure and want to get better at lighting subjects in an indoor setting. We will cover the following topics: Simple light set-ups using one light and reflectorMultiple light set-upsControlling exposureLight diffusion/modifier options & techniquesTriggering options This is a hands-on class, so bring your camera. Once you know how to use studio lights, your eyes will be open to a whole new world of creative photographic possibilities. About Your Instructor: Alan Holtmeier Alan Holtmeier is a Camera Specialist at Rockbrook Camera and is in his 20th year of providing service and support to area photographers. Alan has photographed professionally as a wedding and portrait photographer and especially enjoys working with artificial lighting. When not working at the store or photographing, Alan enjoys playing golf and playing with his two Corgi's, Winston and Schmidt. Covid-19 Update To keep everyone safe and healthy, Rockbrook Camera classes are limited to 8 attendees with ample spacing. Our classroom and store are sanitized throughout the day and after each class. Hand sanitizer is available for use. As of August 11th, masks are required by City of Omaha ordinance - 42309. Due to the uncertain conditions surrounding Covid-19, classes may be cancelled at the last minute. If a cancellation takes place, you will be notified and fully refunded.
