Immigrants Day Prayer Vigil

On October 28, 2022, the Refugee & Immigration Committee of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a Prayer Vigil in recognition of National Immigrants Day. The Vigil will take place on the south (Morgan Street) side of the NC State Capitol grounds, and speakers will include families who have been through the immigration process as well as individuals engaged in ministry to immigrant communities. Local ministers will lead times of reflection through spoken prayer and song. Please invite your congregations to come and learn about the experience of immigrant families, the call to serve our immigrant neighbors, and the opportunities to serve the immigrant community through our Connection. The event will take place on Friday, October 28, from 6:30-7:30 PM at 1 E Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601.
