We are excited to announce our Lung Cancer Awareness Month Wine Down Wednesday! Wednesday, November 16th @ Coffee Bar Atlanta- 1602 Lavista Rd. NE Atlanta, GA 30329, from 7-9 pm. Tickets are $10 ( Proceeds will go to Lung Cancer Awareness Foundation) *Food and drinks will be available for purchase* Moderator : Kimberly Jackson ( American Cancer Society), Executive Vice President, Southwest Region Kimberly Jackson is the region's senior-most staff executive, driving the development and implementation of the American Cancer Society's mission and revenue strategies across five states. Under Kimberly's leadership, the Southeast Region serves thousands of cancer patients and caregivers, engages with volunteers, and raises more than $46 million annually to save and celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. - Panelist: Dr. Rajni Sinha, MD, MRCP ( Piedmont Cancer Institute) Dr. Rajni Sinha joined Piedmont Cancer Institute in 2016. She is a member of the American Hematology Society, Clinical Research which focuses on clinical trial design and implementation. She is an experienced principal investigator of industry sponsored clinical trials and has performed investigator- initiated trials. -Panelist: Scott Gordon LPC( Licensed Professional Counselor) Scott is a licensed professional counselor with a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling. He has served in the capacity of clinician, teacher, coach and a mentor to adults, adolescents and children. He has experience working with many populations and mental health concerns including emotional instability, stress, anxiety, depression and so many more. - Panelist: Jaymie Bowles ( Lung Cancer Survivor/Warrior, Owner WJMS Media) Jaymie was diagnosed with stage IV Lung Cancer in December 2018 despite being an active and healthy non smoker .She continues to work a full time job and run the operations of her radio station.(WJMS Radio) Jaymie brings awareness to her cause and others while inspiring those around her to keep moving forward. Her motto: “I may have Cancer, but Cancer does NOT have me!”
