Join Ranger Jazmin for a Sunset hike at Solstice Canyon! We will be hiking around 3 miles walking up the Solstice Canyon Trail and coming down the Rising Sun Trail. Throughout the hike, we will discover a new appreciation of the Santa Monica Mountains through our five senses where folks will have the opportunity to see the Roberts Ranch House ruins, a waterfall, a sunset, and more! This is a moderately strenuous hike where some parts are on uneven ground. The hike and tour should last around 2.5 hours, but there will be plenty of time for any questions before, during, and after! Come see the beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. We will meet in front of the Solstice Canyon Education Shelter in the parking lot at 4:15PM to begin the hike by 4:30PM. Solstice Canyon is one of the most popular spots in the park and parking fills up fast. Plan to arrive earlier than 4:15PM to ensure you get a parking spot. This is a free event with free parking. We recommend bringing lots of water, sunscreen, sturdy hiking shoes, and a flashlight for when it gets dark.
