With the help of Lauren Zoghlin from the Full Circle Food Pantry, we have our second See Once, Do Once of the semester!
We'll have a change of pace from our first workshop and do something more hands-on and tasty. This time, we'll be learning how to make pasta. Pasta is made from grain, one of the basic food groups in a healthy diet that also can include vegetables, fruits, fish, and poultry.
This workshop will be taught by Lauren Zoghlin, who works at the Full Circle Food Pantry at the University of Arkansas. Here's her introduction:
"My Name is Lauren Zoghlin and I am the Cooking Matters intern for the full circle food pantry. I got into this position through a love for food and a passion for food insecurity in underserved groups. I got into this position after being a Lab TA for principles of foods and was made aware of the job and how well it would fit into my skill set and I would be getting to do the work I would like to do as a future career. We will be learning how to hand-make pasta from scratch! Come to the studio to learn some cooking skills and have a homemade dinner!"
See you there!
