Description
ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington aligned its coronavirus restrictions with the state's Wednesday after rolling them back to a modified version of Phase 2, Step 2 for about three weeks. The rollback was spurred by an "alarming" growth in case counts and subsequent region-wide effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus that included nearby communities like Boston, Somerville and Newton.
Fitness centers, gyms and theaters are able to reopen within current state guidance:
- Most industries will be subject to a 25 percent capacity limit
- Updated gathering limit will be 10 persons indoors, 25 persons outdoors.
- Since December 26th all hospitals have been directed to postpone or cancel all nonessential inpatient elective invasive procedures in order to maintain and increase inpatient capacity.
- No restaurant may sell or provide alcohol of any kind between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
State restrictions will be in effect until at least Jan. 10.
