Transition & Children’s Services Direct Support Professional (T&C DSP) in Eugene - $18.50/hr Do you believe in helping people who experience disabilities lead the life they choose? In this position, you get to take the unique gifts, preferences, and needs of each person you support as a guide to how to walk in partnership with the person toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. You get to support people lead self-directed lives while they participate in their communities and schools. You Will: - Be providing supports and be a role model to youth, 17 years old and younger, facing the challenges of mental health and/or disabilities. - Gain advanced knowledge of mental health and positive behavioral supports. - Receive advanced training for this position. - Be using evidenced-based therapeutic models and environmental change to achieve consistent, stable, and productive supports. Compensation & Benefits Package: Wage will be $18.50/hr, depending on shift worked, may receive an additional $0.50. Retirement, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life for Full Time employees. Education/Experience Requirements: None! We provide a two week paid training! Education/Experience Preferences (not a requirement as this can be trained): People with knowledge of: Critical thinking methods Adaptive skill development Life skill education Positive behavioral support Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Job Specific Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs Be able to be certified with an Individual Focus certificate in Oregon Intervention System (OIS) Be able to be certified and maintain certification with First Aid/CPR Pass a State/Federal criminal history check Pass a pre-employment drug screen for the use of illegal substances in Oregon Be fully vaccinated (or willing to become fully vaccinated while completing Orientation) against COVID-19 (subject to limited exemptions based on medical conditions, sincerely held religious beliefs, and/or applicable state laws and regulations)
