Hey everyone, my name’s Chanelle and this fundraiser is for my family and I. Honestly, writing this out is truly hurting me. I’m literally in tears.. But with the seasons changing and the weather getting colder we could definitely use a hand. Tanner and I are a 23 year old energetic, enthusiastic, hard working, loving, couple who could use some help. We, along with our 3 year old blue heeler Remi have been homeless since July 1st of this year here in Montrose, Colorado. Our homelessness is due to our rent going up and us not being able to live paycheck to paycheck anymore.. It was going to be: 1. Keep a roof over our heads and keep going hungry. 2. Attempt to be homeless in our vehicle for a month or two tops to save money for an RV so we can travel to Montana for better career opportunities and to be closer with family before winter hits.. Well, winter is pretty much here and we’re still in our vehicle. We thought we had it figured out going to an RV dealership with a 20% downpayment on a 10,000 RV. BUT THEY LAUGHED IN OUR FACE. RVs are considered “luxury”.. So all this time we wasted saving up for something we can’t have. Please NOTE Tanner and I don’t have parents in our life’s. We’ve never had good parents. Nobody taught us about “credit” or how to build it.. So now we’re out here learning on our own. We have enough money saved up to get us to Montana and get us into a home with the first months rent.. BUT we also have a vehicle payment and need to feed our mouths in the mean time. We did apply for food stamps and they denied us do to our “income being to high”. So we both do work full time.
