Iron Horse Repair Maui is currently looking for highly motivated, hardworking, responsible individuals to fill automotive/diesel mechanic positions. Someone who can accurately diagnose and repair vehicles/equipment in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. We are a repair shop that provides stationary and mobile service and repair of a wide variety of light and medium automotive vehicles, light, medium, and heavy duty diesel vehicles, forklifts and material handling equipment, lawn equipment, as well as the renting and leasing of refrigerated trucks on Maui. Offering sign on bonus of $4,500 (see terms & conditions) Qualifications At least 2 years proven mechanic experience in either diesel or automotive ASE Certifications (preferred) Valid Driver's License Requirements Basic reading and writing skills Positive attitude Great customer service Communication skills Understanding of tools and uses Shop experience On road/mobile experience (preferred) Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics Hand tool set (preferred) Willing to continue training or further education (classes, ASE, CDL etc.) Good driving skills Able to work in outside environment/conditions Be able to work a flexible schedule Benefits Medical, dental, vision (90-day probationary period) Two weeks paid vacation after probationary period Most main holidays off Incentives Job description Our technicians accurately diagnose and repair anything being worked on in an efficient & timely manner. The technicians also work on all sorts of vehicles & equipment in the shop or on site. They can understand basic electrical, & perform diagnosis and repair of brake systems, suspensions, steering, engines, exhaust systems, fuel systems, hydraulic cylinders, hoses, systems, reefer units, etc. Our technicians must be able to service vehicles efficiently and provide quality work.
