Description
Navy is a blue brindle terrier mix. Most likely Pitbull Terrier or Staffordshire Terrier. He is a very sweet boy who loves tug-of-war and chasing a squeaky tennis ball. He seems easy to train with positive reinforcement and treats.
He loves to snuggle up with a chewy toy or treat and sleep next to his family.
He loves walks and runs.
He was adopted from the humane society and has all of the shots they require and is fixed. He is a little over a year old.
Navy needs a lot of exercise and attention. If he is not given enough he will chew anything he can access, including wood decks, baseboards, his beds and blankets, shoes, anything cloth, rubber, wood, plastic, or paper.
He doesn’t realize his size and strength and can knock a person down easily when trying to play. He is still very young and easily trainable with enough time and patience.
He should not be homed with cats, as he loves to chase them. I have not seen signs of trying to hurt them, but I do not know if he would or would not. He does great with other young dogs and would love a young dog to play with. He has too much energy for an older dog to tolerate, so young large dogs would be necessary, if any. I suspect he may do better with another young, playful dog than by himself ad long as they get along.
He is good with older kids and adults who can give him commands and continue his training. I would not recommend young kids because he is too big and energetic and would likely hurt then unintentionally when trying to play. Navy knows sit, lay, roll over. He walks pretty well on the leash and has been training pretty well, but will need continued training to not pull.
$300 rehoming fee, firm.
