Description
Hi there, my husband and I have the heartbreaking task of helping my in-laws' rehome their wonderful 4-year-old Dutch shepherd mix, Bindi. They are in declining health and no longer able to provide the caring home she deserves. Bindi is an incredibly sweet, gentle and cuddly girl who is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She has no separation anxiety or destructive behaviors. She is genuinely one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet, and loves to curl up at your feet or in your lap. She is up to date on all vaccinations and visits the vet every six months. She's a true sweetheart and is very people-oriented and loving.
Two notes to be aware of, she has displayed some aggression/territorial behavior towards other dogs ONLY when she is on-leash - nothing that has ever caused a problem, and could definitely be improved with the proper training. The other note was she was once startled by a small dog (our dachshund mix) and pinned her - both dogs were OK, but we suspect this may have triggered a prey response, and so she would probably do best as a solo dog or in a home with only medium- or large-sized dogs. She has always done well with other dogs off-leash or in the home.
Our only wish is that she can go to a loving forever home - we will provide her crate, food bowls and toys, and all other accessories. We are in town this week to help our family with health-related issues, so if you are interested in Bindi, let us know and we would be happy to meet with you. Thanks and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have other questions.
